YOU! Ibiza | Mykonos | Tulum Fresh sounds for tomorrow!
This summer, Pacha Ibiza is reaching a momentous milestone as it proudly celebrates its 50th Anniversary. For half a century, Pacha has stood as a pioneering force in Ibiza’s dance and cultural movement and has been synonymous with the ascent of some of the world’s most renowned DJs.
To commemorate this significant occasion, Pacha is marking another remarkable milestone by bringing together two iconic figures in the industry: Ibiza legends Solomun and Marco Carola. These titans will join forces for an unforgettable back-to-back set and a day-to-night extravaganza for the first time in history. The event will kick off at Destino Ibiza and culminate at Pacha, creating the ultimate celebration for Pacha’s 50th anniversary.
Pacha has played a pivotal role in shaping Solomun’s career. His residency, “Solomun +1,” began in a laid-back fashion at Pacha Ibiza. It saw Solomun reposition the DJ booth into the center of the club, abandoning the usually elevated podium. This intentional move allowed him to be closer to the people on the dancefloor, fostering a unique connection. This innovative concept of a night spent with only one friend became a groundbreaking experience on the White Island. Since its inception in 2013, “Solomun +1” has become an iconic fixture in Ibiza, with +1 editions now taking place across the globe, from Berlin to New York and Tulum.
The name Marco Carola is equally intertwined with the sounds of Ibiza. As one of the most revered artists in electronic music, Carola played a pivotal role in the development of the electronic scene in the early 90s, taking the thriving Italian techno scene to an international level. Nearly three decades later, he remains one of the industry’s most beloved figures. Carola’s unique three-deck mixing style has garnered him a dedicated fan base from Ibiza to New York, South America, and beyond.
But the celebration doesn’t stop there. Solomun and Carola will be joined by the Brooklyn-based duo, Bedouin, consisting of Rami Abousabe and Tamer Malki. Regulars at Pacha, Bedouin hosts the Wednesday residency, “Saga,” throughout the season. Their performances captivate fans with a blend of melodies and rhythms rooted in their Middle Eastern heritage and Western upbringing.
Pacha Ibiza will commemorate its 50th anniversary throughout the summer season, hosting several parties each week from May 23rd to October 3rd. The festivities promise to be a testament to Pacha’s enduring legacy in dance music.
