Renowned techno luminary Adam Beyer has recently released his third original project of the year, the intriguing EP ‘Robotic Arms’, delving into the interface of artificial intelligence within the realm of creativity.
The EP encompasses three tracks, namely ‘Robotic Arms’, ‘No Hate’, and a ‘No Hate’ Trippy Mix. These compositions have stood as notable highlights during Beyer’s live performances on the bustling summer festival circuit. With appearances at iconic events like Coachella, Awakenings, Tomorrowland, and numerous dates of his Hï Ibiza residency, Beyer has introduced the world to the innovative soundscape of ‘Robotic Arms’.
Beyer shared his thoughts on the project, stating, “I’m fascinated by this and curious to see how it develops, as it’s both a threat for artists, while also being an opportunity to utilize this technology when making art.” This curiosity surrounding AI served as a significant inspiration for the EP.
The title track, ‘Robotic Arms’, captures the enigmatic and unexplored impacts of AI’s integration into creative realms. Beyer spent six months crafting this composition, and it features thought-provoking vocals paired with an intricate musical structure. ‘No Hate’ takes an intriguing divergence from conventional techno sounds, boasting a raw and gritty auditory quality alongside propulsive percussion. Its assertive vocal line intensifies the listening experience, creating a truly immersive sonic journey. The EP also features a ‘No Hate’ Trippy Mix, delivering an alternate twist to the track.
Adam Beyer, a luminary in the Swedish techno scene, has significantly shaped the genre’s trajectory. As the founder of Drumcode Records, a prominent techno label globally, Beyer’s influence has been profound. With over 100 singles and EPs to his name, he has collaborated with luminaries such as Carl Cox, Richie Hawtin, and Ida Engberg, who happens to be his spouse.
Born in 1976 in Stockholm, Beyer commenced his DJ journey in the early 1990s, rapidly rising to prominence in the Swedish techno landscape. His 1997 establishment of Drumcode Records marked a pivotal moment, establishing him as a driving force in the global techno realm.
Beyer’s acclaimed albums on Drumcode, including “Fabric 22” (2005), “Elements” (2008), and “Ibiza” (2013), have solidified his status. His electrifying live sets at renowned techno festivals like Tomorrowland, Time Warp, and Berghain are famed for their energy and intensity.
Beyond his DJ and production endeavors, Beyer hosts the weekly radio show ‘Drumcode Live’, broadcast across 100 radio stations globally, attracting a substantial audience.
