YOU! Ibiza | Mykonos | Tulum Fresh sounds for tomorrow!
BLOND:ISH, the Canadian DJ and producer, has announced the release of her latest vinyl album ‘#PlasticFreeParty’ which is completely biodegradable and plastic-free. The album, containing 14 tracks including works from BLOND:ISH herself, Shiba San & Millad, Vander & Deer Jade, Elif & Gespona, Theo Meier and others, will be available on her label ABRACADABRA from Tuesday, April 11. This album is launched in partnership with Bye Bye Plastics, a non-profit organization dedicated to removing single-use plastics from the music industry. DeepGrooves, the green pressing plant, and Evolution Music, the vinyl R&D company, are responsible for the album’s development and claim that there is no sound quality drop-off. The record is made of PHA, a bioplastic that is entirely biodegradable, and is being offered in a limited R&D run of 150 copies, with digital versions also available. All proceeds from the album will be donated to the Bye Bye Plastic charity. The vinyl pressing plant, DeepGrooves, uses a circular structure that employs green energy, green gas, and solar energy, and their granulate is based on calcium zinc stabilizers instead of heavy metals. In a collaboration with pop icon Madonna in February, BLOND:ISH reworked the singer’s classic ‘Sorry’ into a club track, which was well received by fans.
