Café Mambo Ibiza Collaborates with Absolut for Ultimate DJ Competition

Café Mambo, renowned for its breathtaking sunsets and legendary DJs, has partnered with premium vodka brand Absolut for their annual ultimate DJ competition.

The competition offers the remarkable opportunity for the winner to perform a sunset set at Café Mambo in either September or October 2023. The prize package includes flights to Ibiza for the winner and a friend, with a value of up to 500 euros, along with three nights of accommodation provided by Grupo Mambo.

Participating is straightforward: contestants need to upload a 30-minute mix on Mixcloud, label it with #CaféMamboAbsolutDJCompetition2023, and let their beats set the party vibe.

The judging panel will comprise Café Mambo’s resident DJs, including Jason Bye, Andy Baxter, Danny O, Sara de Araújo, and Ryan McDermott. The evaluation criteria will consider factors such as the number of plays, positive feedback, originality, suitability for a sunset set, track selection, and the contestant’s adeptness in using Mixcloud and other social media platforms for self-promotion. To be shortlisted, mixes must gather over 50 plays.

The fortunate winner will also relish daily breakfast at Café Mambo, access to the pool and spa at Las Mimosas Boutique Hotel & Spa, and a masterclass led by one of Mambo’s resident DJs. Moreover, the winning DJ’s set will be streamed live online, offering exposure and the potential to kickstart the career of a budding DJ talent.
