David Guetta and Hypaton have released a captivating animated music video for their innovative Future Rave remix of La Bouche’s ’90s hit, ‘Be My Lover (2023 Mix)’.
Set in a dystopian cityscape reminiscent of Blade Runner, the video showcases live footage of David Guetta and Hypaton projected onto towering CGI buildings. Bathed in vibrant shades of purple and pink neon lights, the visual perfectly captures the essence of the Future Rave aesthetic.
‘Be My Lover (2023 Mix)’ has already amassed over 25 million Spotify streams. The French maestro, David Guetta, joins forces with the rising viral sensation, Hypaton, to reimagine La Bouche’s 1995 original with their signature blend of dark and electrifying techno and progressive house, characteristic of the Future Rave sound.
Since coining the term “Future Rave” alongside his partner Morten Breum, Guetta has transformed this unique fusion of underground sounds and larger-than-life energy into a genre of its own. Their monumental ‘Future Rave’ tour in 2022, featuring a residency at Hï Ibiza and an appearance at EDC, solidified the genre’s status. In addition, their acclaimed ‘Future Rave EP Episode 2’ released in November further propelled the movement.
Guetta continues to dominate the charts with recent hits like ‘Baby Don’t Hurt Me,’ featuring Anne-Marie and Coi Leray, and the chart-topping sensation ‘I’m Good (Blue).’ Meanwhile, Hypaton, a rising star in the production world, has gained viral success by ingeniously reimagining ’90s classics. His unique take on EDM and trance caught the attention of David Guetta, propelling him into the spotlight with over 50 million views and countless shares across various platforms.
The visually stunning music video for ‘Be My Lover’ perfectly complements the electrifying Future Rave remix, offering viewers an immersive experience. It is a testament to the creative synergy between David Guetta and Hypaton as they continue to push the boundaries of music and visual artistry.
