Honey Dijon unveils ‘Drama’ video, the final chapter of avant-garde trilogy for YouTube Black Voices Fund.

Honey Dijon concludes her avant-garde trilogy for the YouTube Black Voices Fund with the release of the official video for her album track ‘Drama’, featuring Rimarkable and Dope Earth Alien. Following the success of her critically acclaimed LP ‘Black Girl Magic’ and her Grammy-winning contributions to Beyonce’s ‘Renaissance’, Honey Dijon collaborates with Los Angeles Director Cor.ece for the visually captivating trilogy.

The video for ‘Drama’ showcases Rimarkable at the forefront, surrounded by a group of familiar faces from the vibrant NYC nightlife scene. The intention behind the video was to embody fierceness in a straightforward manner, with Rimarkable exuding queen-like energy and delivering a stellar performance. The video is filled with fashion, poses, and playful energy, emphasizing the right to take up space while leaving unnecessary drama behind.

This project was made possible through the YouTube Black Voices Fund, a program established in 2020 to acquire and produce YouTube Originals programming centered around the Black experience. It aims to provide direct support to Black creators, artists, and songwriters/producers. ‘Drama’ is the final installment of the trilogy, following the previously released videos ‘Stand’ and ‘Don’t Be Afraid’, which have garnered praise and showcased the creative vision of Honey Dijon and Cor.ece.

The collaboration between Honey Dijon, Rimarkable, and Dope Earth Alien, combined with the artistic direction of Cor.ece, has resulted in a visually stunning and empowering music video that celebrates self-expression and the vibrancy of the Black community.
