Korg has introduced an innovative virtual reality version of its popular online production studio.
Known as Gadget VR, this cutting-edge software utilizes Epic Games’ Unreal Engine and features six studio instruments: the London PCM drum module, the Miami Monophonic synth, the Kiev spatial digital synth, the Chiang Mai phase modulation synth, the Kingston chip synth, and the Warszawa wavetable synth.
Previously available as a plug-in for Mac and on Nintendo Switch, Korg Gadget now offers compatibility with the Meta Quest 2/Pro headset, enabling users to experience a 360° setup with the various gadgets. A demo video showcasing the software is available for viewing.
Gadget VR can be downloaded for £25, and additional information can be found on the official Korg website.
In addition to the virtual reality software, Korg has announced updates to its Wavestate synth series. The new Wavestate SE version features a 61-key layout, while a limited-edition silver model called the Wavestate SE Platinum has also been released. Furthermore, five new Wavestate soundpacks are now available, and a 50% off sale is running until July 20th.
