London’s Former IKEA Transforms into New 15,000-Capacity Venue

London is set to welcome a brand new venue later this year—a remarkable space with a capacity of 15,000. This exceptional venue, known as DRUMSHEDS, will be located in North London. It’s important to note that this venue should not be confused with Broadwick Live’s previous venue bearing the same name. DRUMSHEDS will be housed in a former IKEA building in the Tottenham area. Spanning an impressive 608,000 square feet, this multi-purpose arena will cater to a wide range of events, including dance music gatherings, fashion shows, and captivating set builds. The complete lineup of events is yet to be announced, but expectations are running high.

DRUMSHEDS joins the esteemed collection of large-scale venues operated by Broadwick Live, including The Beams, Printworks, and Depot Mayfield in Manchester. It’s worth noting that a nearby venue, also named The Drumsheds, ceased operations in January of last year.

Simeon Aldred, Director of Strategy at Broadwick, expressed the organization’s mission of creating unparalleled live experiences that leave a lasting impact. Aldred stated, “We envision DRUMSHEDS, much like our other spaces, to become vibrant cultural epicenters that foster meaningful connections—a connection that people yearn for now more than ever.”
