Born in Iran and raised in the U.S. from the age of seven, Dubfire honed his skills by playing at local clubs in Washington, D.C. It was through a childhood friend that he met Sharam Tayebi, and together they formed the iconic duo “Deep Dish,” dominating the electronic music scene. The duo’s immense success included winning a Grammy, multiple nominations, and a multitude of other prestigious awards. However, at the peak of their achievements, both artists decided to embark on solo careers. Under the moniker Dubfire, he channeled his deep passion for underground house and techno, quickly establishing himself as a visionary and formidable force within the genre. Standout releases such as ‘Ribcage,’ ‘Emissions,’ ‘Roadkill,’ as well as his collaborations with Oliver Huntemann and his remarkable remix of Plastikman’s ‘Spastik,’ exemplify Dubfire’s musical versatility and profound understanding of sound.

Never content with complacency, Dubfire dedicated two years to crafting a groundbreaking live show, giving birth to his HYBRID live concept. Since its soft launch debut at the Amsterdam Dance Event in 2014, HYBRID has left audiences astounded. Described by Thump as “unlike anything we had previously seen or heard before anywhere,” HYBRID explores the convergence of man and machine, delving into the realms of science, technology, and their interconnectedness with music.
