The Martinez Brothers – Biography

The Martinez Brothers have left an indelible mark on the world of dance music. From their early beginnings at Objektivity, where they released their debut EP “My Rendition” under the mentorship of Dennis Ferrer, to their chart-topping remixes and collaborations, their talent knows no bounds. Their remix of Green Velvet’s “Bigger Than Prince” became a dance floor anthem, igniting Ibiza’s vibrant nightlife with its pulsating energy, while their two-part hip-hop mixtape “Warhol/Basquiat” garnered critical acclaim.

2013 marked the inception of their event series, Mad Beats & Crazy Styles, which allowed them to delve into their New York dance music roots. They also founded their own record label, Cuttin’ Headz, and launched Tuskegee, a vinyl-only project inspired by the rich black and Latino musical experiences of the early ’90s. The Martinez Brothers expanded beyond the music world and provided the soundtrack for Givenchy’s high-fashion shows in Paris, showcasing their versatility and appeal.

Despite their global success, The Martinez Brothers remain grounded and true to their NYC culture. Their infectious energy and authentic sound have earned them a dedicated following, with sold-out shows and stage hosting at renowned music festivals. In 2022, they embark on a new weekly residency at Hï Ibiza, further solidifying their status as leaders within the dance music scene.
