The highly anticipated Neversea Festival celebrated its monumental 5th edition this past weekend, from July 6 to 9, and it was truly a festival for the books!
Over the course of four magical days and nights, more than 277,000 music enthusiasts from around the world gathered in the picturesque coastal city of Constanța, Romania, to be a part of Europe’s largest beach festival.
The festival boasted an impressive lineup of over 150 superstar DJs, producers, and singers who delivered unforgettable performances across six breathtaking stages: The Mainstage, The Ark, Daydreaming, Retro, Balkaniada, and Latino.
The festival kicked off on Thursday, July 6, with a stellar lineup including Lil Uzi Vert, Alok, Timmy Trumpet, and local artists taking the stage at the beautifully arranged Mainstage. Over 65,000 fans were treated to an incredible night of live shows and performances.
Lil Uzi Vert, one of the most highly anticipated artists of the festival, delivered an electrifying performance that had the crowd buzzing with excitement. With his chart-topping hits and tracks from his latest album “Pink Tape,” Lil Uzi Vert brought the mainstage to life, leaving fans in awe.
Alok, the Brazilian DJ ranked 4th in the Top 100 DJ Mag, wowed the audience with his energetic DJ set and even surprised fans by inviting INNA on stage for a special collaboration. The crowd couldn’t get enough, and Alok expressed his love for the Neversea Festival and the Romanian audience.
The Australian DJ and producer Timmy Trumpet took the festival’s excitement to new heights with his unique mix of classical music and EDM. He premiered his latest single, “Eternity,” and even had his wife and a lucky Romanian fan join him on stage for an unforgettable moment.
The Daydreaming stage treated fans to deep house, afro house, progressive, and indie sounds with artists such as PAAX (Tulum), Themba, Pablo Fierro, and local DJs creating a captivating atmosphere that led to a beautiful sunrise by the seaside.
The Ark stage catered to rap, trap, breakbeat, and dubstep enthusiasts, while the Retro and Balkaniada stages delighted fans of retro and Balkanic music with incredible sets.
Day two of Neversea, which took place on Friday, July 7, drew in over 72,000 festival-goers. Lil Pump, Claptone, Morten, Steve Aoki, Tujamo, and more took the stage, delivering unforgettable performances throughout the day and night. Lil Pump’s arrival on the mainstage was a sight to behold as he was carried by his fans. He performed his latest album tracks and chart-topping hits, creating an electrifying atmosphere.
Morten, one of the creators of the FUTURE RAVE style, showcased his DJ prowess with a perfect set that thrilled the crowd. Steve Aoki, a beloved artist in Romania, brought his infectious energy and presented exclusive remixes, paying tribute to Avicii and even preparing 20 specially crafted cakes for the iconic “Cake Me!” moment.
Tujamo, a crowd favorite in Romania, delivered an incredible live set and surprised fans by inviting INNA on stage for a special collaboration. The powerful beats of Tujamo kept the audience dancing until sunrise.
The Daydreaming stage continued to impress with performances by Rampue (Live), the legendary duo Hernan Cattaneo b2b Nick Warren, and Day Dreamers (Marwan Dua, Dub FX, Woodnote), captivating the crowd with their stunning sets.
On day three, over 70,000 fans gathered to witness powerful performances by artists like Lost Frequencies, Don Diablo, CKay, Vini Vici, Lee Burridge, and more. CKay, the Nigerian artist, made his debut in Romania and delighted the audience with his unique blend of emo-afrobeat, R&B, and dancehall.
Don Diablo, known for his innovative approach to electronic music, reunited with his Romanian and international fans, presenting them with a special show as a token of gratitude for their unwavering support. Lost Frequencies, known for his charismatic presence, delivered a special show concept, including the premiere of his new single “Diving To Your Love.”
Vini Vici took fans on a psytrance journey, while Lee Burridge set the Daydreaming stage ablaze with his captivating set.
The fourth and final day of Neversea brought an end to the festival with exhilarating performances by J Balvin, Paul Kalkbrenner, Salvatore Ganacci, Dubfire, and Sébastien Léger. J Balvin, the Colombian sensation, delivered an extraordinary show, interacting with the crowd and even inviting a fan on stage for a special performance.
Salvatore Ganacci brought his unique and vibrant style to the stage, creating a visual spectacle that had the crowd laughing and dancing. Paul Kalkbrenner hypnotized his fans with an emotional journey through underground techno, and J Balvin closed the festival with a bang, performing his hits and premiering a new song to the ecstatic audience.
Neversea Festival also featured the FAB Stage, where fans could explore festival fashion with the help of Romanian designers, hairstylists, and makeup artists. Instagrammable spots and unique decor added to the festival’s allure, allowing attendees to capture thousands of photos and videos to cherish forever.
Food lovers were not left disappointed either, as the festival offered over 20 food vendors serving a variety of delicious options to satisfy everyone’s taste buds.
The fifth edition of Neversea Festival was a true celebration of music and joy, filled with incredible performances, laughter, tears of joy, and dancing until sunrise. It was a gathering of friends who sang and danced together, creating new memories that will be cherished for years to come. Neversea 2023 is already anticipated as the next destination for creating lasting memories.
