Offbeat Ibiza Party Welcomes DJ Python, Powder, Sofia Kourtesis in 2023

Ibiza is set to host a new weekly party that will showcase the deeper shades of house, techno, electro, and more. Organized by local radio platform OpenLab, the event named Offbeat will take place at NUI Ibiza, a 500-capacity warehouse located in an industrial park in Ibiza Town. The inaugural party, featuring artists like Ralph Lawson and Cinthie, is scheduled for Friday, June 16th.

Quentin Chambers from OpenLab expressed the intention behind Offbeat, stating, “With OffBeat, we wanted to shake things up a little and offer a fresh experience, reminiscent of Ibiza’s original eclectic vibe that has somewhat faded over the years,” in an interview with Resident Advisor.

Additional dates have been announced for June 23rd with Voigtmann and Doudou MD, and June 30th with Sofia Kourtesis and Dave DK. Moreover, a lineup of diverse acts has been confirmed for the entire summer, including Powder, Ata, Erol Alkan, Manami, nd_baumecker, Nicolas Lutz, Optimo (Espacio), Paula Tape, Peach, Ivan Smagghe, Prosumer, Roman Flügel, Bobby., Call Super, Cici, Daniel Avery, DJ Masda, DJ Python, and A LOVE FROM OUTER SPACE.

Chambers further emphasized, “We’ve brought together revered cult selectors, some of whom have grown disenchanted with Ibiza’s clubbing scene over time, and paired them with some of the most exciting emerging talents, many of whom will be making their debut at OffBeat. But that’s not all. We’ve chosen a venue for the night that breaks the mold of what you typically expect in Ibiza.”

OpenLab, founded in 2013 by dance music legend Robert Miles, offers an alternative to the typical big-room sounds found on the White Isle. It operates as an online platform and broadcasts on 106.4 FM in Ibiza and Formentera.
