In continuation of last year’s successful fund, which extended support to three projects dedicated to fostering a safer, more inclusive, and sustainable nightlife environment, Jägermeister is doubling the fund’s value to €100,000 for this year. The application process for the 2023 #SaveTheNight fund will kick off in September.
Meanwhile, an exclusive event is scheduled at London’s fabric club on Thursday, August 31st. During the day, a series of insightful discussions and networking sessions will take place, featuring prominent voices from London’s dance music scene. This will culminate in an evening party, the lineup for which will be unveiled at a later date.
The inaugural panel, led by Tash LC and featuring Moxie, Shay Malt from Adonis, and Hannah Shogbola of United Talent Agency, will dive into the pressing issue of rising artist fees. Subsequently, journalist Chal Ravens will moderate a discussion exploring the resilience of dance music venues, examining ways for clubs to achieve long-term viability, both financially and otherwise. The panel will include Judy Griffiths of fabric, Kit Seymour of Venue MOT, Stuart Glen from The Cause, and an artist to be announced.
The third panel, helmed by RA staff writer Michael Lawson, will focus on enhancing the accessibility of dance music. The insights of I. JORDAN, Parris, and Nadine Noor from PXSSY PALACE will contribute to this discourse.
A representative from Jägermeister will moderate a discussion featuring the 2023 #SaveTheNight jury members, whose identities will be revealed soon. This panel holds the dual role of selecting the recipients of this year’s funding and providing mentorship.
Prospective applicants can anticipate the opening of applications for the 2023 #SaveTheNight fund in September. Detailed application guidelines will be released in the upcoming weeks. For more details about the August 31st event and to secure complimentary tickets, refer to the event listing below.
