The much-anticipated Rave The Planet Parade in Berlin is on track to take place this weekend, as organizers express confidence in its successful execution.
Earlier this week, concerns arose when medical provider Malteser Sanitätsdienst withdrew its support for the event. However, co-organizer Timm Zeiss has confirmed that a new company has been secured to fill the void, ensuring the necessary medical assistance will be available. This last-minute change comes at a significant financial cost, prompting the launch of a GoFundMe campaign to help alleviate some of the financial strain.
While most hurdles have been overcome, one potential challenge remains regarding the expected number of attendees and the strain it may impose on emergency services. If the actual turnout exceeds the anticipated 300,000 participants, the police retain the authority to cancel the parade promptly.
Rave The Planet Parade, a revival of the legendary Love Parade, made its debut last summer with an impressive attendance of over 200,000 people. Tomorrow, on July 8th, the second edition is poised to captivate the city once again with its vibrant celebration of electronic music and unity.
