Richie Hawtin to embark on North American tour

Renowned techno artist Richie Hawtin, also known as Plastikman, will be returning to the stage this spring with his “From Our Minds” tour, making its way through North America and Canada. Starting in Detroit on March 10th, the tour aims to highlight “the next generation” of techno and features local label owners, visual artists, producers, and DJs at each stop.

Hawtin’s eight-date tour will feature artists such as Huey Mnemonic, Barbosa, Declan James, and more, and is in partnership with the talent booking and logistics group Genova Agency. This tour marks Hawtin’s first return to North America since 2019 and builds upon his previous “CNTRL” tours from 2012, 2015, and 2019.

“Since starting my first label +8 in 1990, it’s always been important for me to help nurture, develop, and promote new like-minded artists,” says Hawtin. “Today with the ever-growing popularity and globalization of techno, it’s critical to collaborate with the next generation, learning from one another and pushing forward together with open-minded curiosity.”
