TIBASKO Drops ‘Must Be Right”

TIBASKO has recently dropped their latest single titled ‘Must Be Right’.

The track follows the success of their high-energy hit ‘Hawt’, and boasts a euphoric summer-ready vibe from start to finish. The genre-bending duo cements their position as experimental artists with ‘Must Be Right’, which is a breakbeat cut with subtle pitch-shifted vocals layered throughout. The track features low-level bass and dominant drumbeats that give way to a rippling string section, resulting in an uplifting release.

Andy of the duo explains, “Over the past year, we have been gradually teasing ‘Must Be Right’ in our sets, and it has become a staple track that we know will elevate the dance floor.” The single has already garnered attention from notable names in the electronic industry, such as HAAi, Bklava, and I.JORDAN, and TIBASKO is confident that the track will take raves by storm.

Ken adds, “If you’re a sample digger like us, you may recognize the R&B sample on ‘Must Be Right’.” The sample in question is from Cherish’s ‘Killa’, and the duo had been holding onto it for some time. It fit perfectly with the track they created in one afternoon, and they used a rare drum machine, the Mode Machines ADX-1, to create the hard-hitting analog drums that drive the energy of the song. TIBASKO spent months searching for the discontinued drum machine and eventually found one in a random shop in Vietnam, which they ordered to the UK.

TIBASKO is gearing up for their springtime tour across the UK and Europe, with stops in Paris, Berlin, London, Prague, and Budapest. They will be playing alongside artists such as Barry Can’t Swim, O’Flynn, LP Giobbi, Salute, TAAHLIAH, and more, and have hinted that more tour dates will be announced soon.
