UNTOLD Festival to Expand to Dubai in 2024

UNTOLD Festival has exciting news for electronic music fans as it announces its expansion into the Middle East with a Dubai edition scheduled for February 2024. The festival will take place at Expo City Dubai, UAE, marking its debut in the region.

To kick off this momentous chapter, UNTOLD has collaborated with renowned Dutch DJ Armin Van Buuren and the iconic Burj Khalifa. Together, they delivered a world-record performance on the world’s tallest building, utilizing the entire structure as an impressive LED backdrop. The spectacular show was filmed and will be available for fans to watch later this summer.

While the DJ lineup for the inaugural UNTOLD Dubai festival is yet to be unveiled, Armin Van Buuren, who has been involved with UNTOLD since its inception in Romania in 2015, assures fans that it will be “something special.” He expresses his strong connection with the festival and its devoted audience, describing the upcoming show in UNTOLD Dubai as incredibly exciting.

Ahmed Al Khaja, CEO of Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment (DFRE), highlights the significance of hosting events like UNTOLD at Expo City Dubai. It showcases the city’s ability to host mega-events, reinforcing Dubai’s position as an international events hub. This aligns with the visionary leadership’s ambition to establish Dubai as the premier city worldwide for tourism, living, and working.

Armin Van Buuren expresses his thrill at performing atop the Burj Khalifa and looks forward to breaking two world records while doing what he loves most—playing music for his precious fans.

UNTOLD Festival, known as the largest electronic music festival in Romania, has been held annually in Cluj-Napoca at the Cluj Arena. The festival has attracted top names from the electronic music scene, including David Guetta, Major Lazer, Tiesto, Don Diablo, and Oliver Heldens. Currently, UNTOLD organizers are preparing for the festival’s return to Cluj-Napoca to celebrate its 5th anniversary, featuring headliners such as Alesso, Martin Garrix, and the recent DJ Mag cover star, Amelie Lens.
