VELD 2023 Festival Guide

The countdown is on for the much-anticipated 10th edition of VELD, Canada’s premier dance music festival. Taking place over the long weekend at Downsview Park, the event promises to be a thrilling celebration of electronic music. Last year’s staggering turnout of 105,000 attendees from across North America sets the stage for another unforgettable experience.

With summer in full swing, festival-goers can look forward to three stages pulsating with a blend of house, techno, and bass music. Let’s take a glimpse at some of the artists that are igniting excitement for the three-day extravaganza!

Friday – August 4th
The VELD Main Stage will come alive with the biggest names in the electronic music realm. Expect to groove to the beats of Jauz, Zedd, and Illenium. For a captivating experience, head to the Sirkus stage, where Eli Brown, Solardo, and Gorgon City will be in the spotlight. UK RAP enthusiasts are in for a treat as they take over the Hillside Stage.

Saturday – August 5th
Calling all A&B fans – this is your day, as the iconic trance duo returns to VELD. Saturday shines even brighter with the debut of RezzMau5. Keep an eye out for not-to-miss performances by Bob Moses and Dom Dolla. Bass enthusiasts will relish the Hillside stage with artists like Svdden Death and Slander taking the spotlight.

Sunday – August 6th
As the saying goes, all good things must come to an end. On the final day, I have my sights set on Trance Tiësto, hoping for another spellbinding set. The Mainstage will also feature the dynamic duo Sofi Tukker, and the multi-platinum DJ Timmy Trumpet. Bass aficionados can expect a treat at the Hillside stage with Sullivan King and Subtronics. House music lovers, savor the last day with performances by Meduza, CID, and James Hype.

But wait, there’s more! Beyond the three main days, the party continues with after-parties at various Toronto clubs. Official after-parties are set to unfold at Vertigo and Rebel.
