Audiomovers Enhances Listento Platform with MIDI Streaming

Listento, a platform backed by Abbey Road Studios, has expanded its capabilities by adding MIDI streaming to its features. Previously, Listento allowed users to stream, listen to, and record uncompressed multichannel audio remotely and in real-time. With the addition of comprehensive MIDI transmission functionality, Listento Pro subscribers can now transmit real-time MIDI data directly from any digital audio workstation (DAW) over the internet.

This enhancement opens up new possibilities for remote music collaboration. Musicians can work remotely with MIDI synthesizers, sound modules, or manage remote MIDI control surfaces while experiencing low-latency listening through Listento. Engineers can synchronize remote DAWs with transmitted MIDI Time Codes generated by Listento streams, allowing them to record performances live and utilize various sound design elements. Simultaneous audio and MIDI streaming enable real-time remote creative collaboration among musicians.

Andrew Dudman, a senior recording engineer at Abbey Road Studios, expressed excitement about this development. He highlighted the potential for syncing up two computers effortlessly and synchronizing remote DAWs or video playback during scoring sessions. Listento MIDI is available in VST3, AU, AAX plugin formats, and as a desktop application, all included in the Listento Pro subscription priced at $24.99 per month or $199.99 per year.

This advancement in remote music collaboration technology offers musicians and engineers new ways to work together seamlessly, regardless of their physical locations.
