Bandcamp has introduced an exciting new feature called “Listening Parties” that empowers artists and labels to engage with their audience in a unique way.

This innovative feature allows artists and organizers to host events featuring a live play-through of an album available on Bandcamp. It includes a live chat where both the artist and the audience can actively participate. Moreover, the event showcases physical copies of the album, artwork, and merchandise, offering fans an immersive experience. Those who purchase the music receive special recognition in the chat room.

These streaming events serve as an excellent platform to spotlight new music that’s still in the pre-order phase or just released, as well as to celebrate classics and fan favorites on their anniversaries.

Martyn, the head of the 3024 label, aptly described Listening Parties as “the Bandcamp equivalent of chatting with fans after the gig!” on the official Bandcamp hub.

Earlier this year, Bandcamp enhanced its mobile app by adding a playlist function, further enhancing the music discovery and listening experience for users.
