According to a report from Apple Music, the streaming service is preparing to launch a variety of exciting new features later this year, including collaborative playlists.
So, what can users expect from the upcoming Apple Music update?
One of the highlights is the ability for Apple Music subscribers to invite others to collaborate on playlists, allowing them to select and edit tracks together. Furthermore, users will have the option to interact by adding emoji reactions to specific songs, enhancing the social aspect of music sharing.
In terms of music content, Apple Music will provide more comprehensive data, including an expanded list of credits for artists. This will offer detailed information about their roles in the creation of songs and the specific instruments they play.
Apple Music Sing will introduce the Continuity Camera feature, enabling users to see themselves onscreen while engaging in karaoke. Additionally, they will have the option to apply camera filters as they sing along to the lyrics, adding a fun and creative element to the karaoke experience.
For users on the go, the app will enhance their experience with SharePlay. When listening in a car, other trusted iPhone devices will automatically suggest joining the session, allowing listeners in the vehicle to control the music from their own devices, regardless of whether they have an Apple Music subscription.
Lastly, the update will enable subscribers to enjoy a collection of commercial-free Apple Music radio shows directly within Apple Podcasts.
All of these exciting new features will be available on Apple devices with the arrival of iOS 17, iPadOS 17, macOS Sonoma, watchOS 10, and tvOS 17 in the upcoming autumn season.
