Nuits Sonores & European Lab Brussels Unveils Initial Lineup for 2023

Richie Hawtin, HAAi, Nick Léon, and DJ Gigola are among the confirmed performers.

Nuits Sonores & European Lab Brussels is set to make its return to the vibrant city of Brussels for its sixth edition in October.

Taking place from October 12th to 15th across various venues, the festival seamlessly blends DJ sets, live performances, and thought-provoking debates and panel discussions.

This year, acclaimed artists Richie Hawtin and HAAi have been appointed as curators and will each present their own events at Bozar, a renowned cultural venue that typically showcases classical music (October 13th and 14th, respectively). The complete lineup will be revealed in due course.

Exciting highlights include special takeovers by Berlin-based label PAN (October 14th) and Portuguese label Principe, who will join forces with talented artists from local collectives Brikabrak, specializing in batida, Afro house, and amapiano sounds (October 15th).

C12 will also host several highly-anticipated events, including a stacked lineup on October 14th featuring captivating back-to-back sets from DONIA and Kamoun, DJ Gigola and MCR-T, as well as a mesmerizing performance by Nick León.

The European Lab program, dedicated to thought-provoking discussions and debates, will focus on the “evolution of the European independent media scene” this year. Over two days, forums will explore the significance of solidarity between independent media and cultural structures in the face of shared challenges.

Stay tuned for further announcements of events taking place at Les Ateliers Claus, Brasserie iLLeGaaL, and Lavallée later this year.
